Three sectors, described the way we publish all customer work.
Sector, asset estate and function. No names and no logos on a public page — that is our standing policy, not a sign that there is nothing to show.
Multi-metals smelting
The estate. A zinc and lead smelting group operating in Australia. Roasters, furnaces, gas handling, materials transport and the utilities that keep them running.
What AMS does here. The deepest deployment by a distance. Inspection rounds and risk scoring alongside a production SAP Plant Maintenance estate, Entra ID sign-in, a dedicated mobile application for field crews, technicians posting time confirmations back to SAP from the phone, an NFC-based equipment tracking application, and a read-only MCP server over the maintenance estate.
Chemical and fertiliser processing
The estate. A continuous process plant in Queensland. Acid plant, plant utilities, water treatment including demineralisation and reverse osmosis, dosing systems, storage and bunded areas, and the safety infrastructure around them.
What AMS does here. Inspection rounds and risk management on an estate where the inspection evidence and the risk scoring carry regulatory weight, and where a missed check is not just a maintenance problem. The risk module is configured most heavily here.
Mining and quarrying services
The estate. A commercial explosives business serving mining and quarrying. Equipment that moves between customer sites, operated by crews who are rarely at a desk and often out of coverage.
What AMS does here. Inspection rounds authored centrally and executed on a phone with no signal, and defects raised from where the operator is standing. This deployment runs the configured base product; we have not published its module list.

The common thread
What these three have in common is what AMS was shaped by.
A system of record that is not going anywhere
Each of these sites has a maintenance system they are not going to replace, and a functional location hierarchy deep enough that nobody sane proposes migrating it. An overlay is the only proposition that survives that meeting.
Conditions that punish a connected app
Steel, concrete, corrosive atmospheres and equipment in places where coverage was never designed to reach. Offline is not a feature at these sites; it is the precondition for the app being used at all.
Engineers who want to change it themselves
Every one of these sites has reliability engineers who know their plant far better than we do. The configuration surface exists because the alternative — a change request to us for every round and formula — does not scale and they would not accept it.
Who builds AMS
Dynamic Build Systems.
Dynamic Build Systems is a software engineering consultancy in Technopark, Stellenbosch, working with manufacturers since 2016. AMS is one of the systems we build; the others are plant analytics and operations software for manufacturers closer to home.
The practice is led by Gert Coetzee, who has spent more than twenty years designing and implementing the systems that run manufacturing operations — from furnace control rooms to plant-wide analytics. AMS exists because that is the work: the inspection round, the defect that never got raised, the risk model nobody could change without a developer.
We build it, we configure it for your site, and we are the people you talk to when something is wrong in the plant. There is no reseller layer and no offshore support desk in between.
The principle the whole product is built on: the system should adapt to the business, not the other way around. That is why inspection rounds, question catalogues and risk formulas are configured by your engineers rather than shipped in our source code.
What you get from a small vendor
The engineer on your call has read the code path you are asking about. A configuration question gets answered in the conversation rather than raised as a ticket. A defect that matters to you is fixed by the person who wrote the line.
The flip side is a fair question and you should ask it: we are a small firm, and you should know what happens if we are not here. We would rather answer that directly than have you wonder about it.
